When Rachel Miller decided to break off with her longtime boyfriend she did not expect it to be easy.  So she and her roommate decided to vacation in Kauai, Hawaii before her sister’s wedding in Paris.

Her soon to be brother in law makes arrangements for them to stay at a resort owned by his friend where they are surrounded in luxury.  Her brother-in-law tells his friend that she is out of bounds so he ends up protective of her as he  pays attention to her friend instead.  He warns his visiting brother but he pays no heed.

She meets a guy by the water but runs away before they are introduce but he reappears late that night.  He turns out to be Jackson Clark the brother of the resort owner The four of them spend time together getting to know each other.
